Changing an eContact
1. When you first enter the eContacts option a Select An Option window appears with the following options:
- EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the User menu.
- A list of categories for the eContacts
- Company – Used to group together company contacts and other contacts that do not fall under one of the other categories
- User – Used to group together your Net•Yield users
- Broker – Used to group together your broker contacts – can be accessed from the contacts button in the broker table
- Buyer – Used to group together your buyer contacts – can be accessed from the contacts button in the buyers table
- Carrier -– Used to group together your carriers – can be accessed from the contacts button in the carrier table
- Customer – Used to group together your customer contacts – can be accessed from the contacts button in the customer table
- Location – Used to group together your location contacts – can be accessed from the contacts button in the location table
- Sales Rep – Used to group together your sales rep contacts – can be accessed from the contacts button in the sale rep table
- Vendor – Used to group together your vendor contacts – can be accessed from the contacts button in the vendor table
Scroll to the category type for the contact that needs to be changed and press Enter to confirm your selection.
2. At the ID field, enter the ID number for the contact that needs to be changed. If you are making changes to a Broker, Buyer, Carrier, Location, or Sales Rep category contact, you can press the F3 key to display a Select A (Category Name) window will appear with the following options:
- EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the ID field.
- A list of existing contacts for the category selected.
Scroll to the appropriate contact and press Enter to select.
If selecting a Vendor or Customer eContact, enter the appropriate ID code in the ID field. Proceed to Step #3

If Company or User was selected in Step #1, the company name or user name will populate the ID field. Proceed to Step #3.
3. A Select An Option window will display with the following options:
- EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the first Select An Option window containing a list of eContact categories.
- ADD – Select ADD to add eContacts.
- PRINT LIST – Select PRINT LIST to print the list of eContacts.
- A list of previously defined eContacts, if eContacts have previously been defined.
Scroll to the eContact that needs to be changed and press Enter to confirm your selection.
4. A Contacts screen will display and command options will appear:
- Change – Select Change to make changes to the eContact information.
- Delete – Select Delete to delete the eContact.
- Update – Select Update to save changes.
- Exit – Select Exit to exit without making changes to the eContact. You will return to the Select An Option window in Step #3. Select EXIT to exit. Select EXIT again to exit and return to the User menu.
Select Change.
5. Make the necessary changes to the eContact information. Refer to eContacts field list for field definitions. Use the Page Down, Tab, Enter, or arrow keys to move through remaining fields when you are finished making changes.
6. Command options will appear as in Step #4. Select Update to save your changes.
Important: Your changes will not be saved unless you select Update.
